About us

The history of famous Armenian wines originates on the slopes of Mount Ararat, in a mythical country.

In spite of Noah’s Ark’s lengthy wanderings, anyway, people succeeded in preserving a small bunch of grapes. And, as the legend goes, Noah kneeled in the Ararat valley and carefully planted that sprout at the foothill of the mountain. Surprisingly, they got a juicy, sweet fruit crop. They had such an abundant harvest of grapes that the excess was put into barrels and stored in the basement. In winter, as Noah’s family wanted to reminisce about the summer and savor some fruit, it turned out that the stocks were crushed and sour. It was such a disappointment! Fortunately, someone tried the strange, yet pleasant-smelling juice collected in the barrel.
And a real miracle happened- an amazing juice had come out of the fruit, delicate and heart-warming.
According to the legend, this is how viticulture and winemaking originated in Armenia.

The viticulture traditions of Aragatsotni region in Armenia come from ancient times. 40% of the lands of Aragatsotn region are occupied by vineyards.
